We thought we had 3 female Robo's but it turns out we have not as one has just had babies. We found three on Friday, have moved them into a new cage today and found one is missing, there was some fur in the bottom so it looks as though it has been eaten. The other two seem fine one is huge and wandering around and the other is smaller but seems to be doing ok. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas about why the one has been eaten and whether we need to worry about the others.

Hi, i have also had babies that have been eaten. I have worked out that once the babies are born generally you should take out the other hamsters and leave the mother on her own.

Big rule with hampster babies is don't touch. Next time I would move the other two adults and let the mom and babies stay where they are, three was kind of a small litter anyway, so that baby could have had a problem, mom will kill it rather than let it suffer. You should seperate the males and females at about 4 weeks or when you notice they are eating and drinking well on their own. Better check the two you have seperated to make sure of their sex or you'll have more babies on your hands! :grin
