1 opened the cage door and got the others out. Luckily I caught the culprit to put an end to that. My hamsters love playing in their ball and my dog,Poppy loves to watch the ball move. She follows and gives them a helping hand luckily she noticed Sapphire got out her ball and ran.Poppy being a very good tracker saw she ran into the bathroom;I quickly located her behind the door. Then on Sunday night after we went to bed(everyone in the place,Sapphire had been in a temp cage because of a big fight with Opal,) got out.I tried the bucket thing I put sunflower seeds down,Im really worry its winter

All my hamsters have escaped, they're more clever than you think. I've had hamsters that escaped for days, weeks and even months (no more than 2 months though) and they seem too survive it every time they go in the walls, basement, bassicly anywheres in your house and they still survive. so even if your hamster does escape they're more likley to pop up somewhere. How to pervent it? well just make sure everything is on good and the cage door is closed, if your hamster figures out how to open the cage door try putting the door clip on the second bar below the one you usaully put it on.
