hi this is kaitlin again and my previos hamster died and i got a new one but the new one isn't eating what should i do im worried :sigh

Hi Kaitlin,

Sorry to hear about your last hamster :sigh

Are you sure your hamster isn't eating? A lot of their activity occurs at night so if you're watching them to see if they're eating then you might be watching them when they're just hanging out.

Put some food in a bowl and look at the bowl the next day. If you don't see the level of food go down then it's likely he's not eating. Make sure he's undisturbed and stress-free, but if he continues not to eat then you'll need to take him to a vet.
